Why Did They Write This Book?

Genesis (Definition: "Beginnings") is the first book of the Bible. Genesis makes many claims about the nature of the world in which we live. We all have questions about the world for which we would like to have answers. But sometimes, even a book about "beginnings" doesn't give us the kind of answers we look for. Which begs the question: What questions did the author of Genesis seek to answer? Why was this book written? We have been journeying through thoughts on the Genesis creation stories in the past few weeks. Today, Susie joins me in the studio to unpack some of what we have been learning.
