Mrs. Claus Liberation

To my knowledge, nobody has ever complained publicly that Santa and Mrs, Clause have a traditional marriage. We don’t even know Mrs. Claus’ name. She is just Mrs. Santa Claus. But she seems perfectly content cooking and cleaning and taking care of Santa, so we don’t worry about her liberation. And maybe, just maybe, that is why the feminist movement (if that is an accurate description of it) has never affected the North Pole - Mrs. Claus is already liberated! She is liberated to be a woman and she is not obligated to try to be her husband as well. Mrs. Claus is happy and Santa Claus is jolly. Why mess with what isn’t broken? If a man truly loves and cares for his wife, she will likely not feel the need to be independent of a man. In fact, her desire is to care for a man, if only he will grant her love and security in return!

Mrs. Claus Liberation

If men will lead their wives in wise, humble, selfless, and courageous leadership, we would all have a happy Mrs. Claus at home who isn’t so inclined to take over our jobs. And the world would be happy to see our chubby, rosy-cheeked-faces plastered on coca-cola trucks as a symbol of a strong, compassionate, approachable, kind-hearted man who cares for the boys and girls of the world. Is that not what Santa Claus is? Is he not the godfather of the children of the world? And are we not okay with that? We are okay with that because Santa Claus has not hurt us. But fathers have... But Christmas is a time we celebrate and reflect on the fact that the perfect Father - God Himself - came in the form of a vulnerable human being in order to share in our suffering so that we might share in His glory. He came to Father us. He came to pick us up on His shoulders and carry us to safety. He came to teach us and equip us to grow up into manhood and womanhood. He came to restore His image in us, the purpose for which we were created in the first place. He came to restore the roles of men and women to work in harmony and not competition. Santa and Mrs. Claus are a symbol of what the human race was always meant to be: a happy, whole, family that gives of itself out of love for the sake of the human world. And the world is happier for it. The proof is in the figgy-pudding. As much as our Western world has fallen into confusion and rebellion over sexuality and virtually all relationships between the sexes, we are never truly happy until we are fulfilling the roles that God created for us. As silly as it may sound, we are meant to look something like Santa and Mrs. Claus. They are a happy couple because they know their places and have accepted it. You will be rosy-cheeked and jolly as well when you accept the fact that you, as a human being, are created in God’s image, male and female, we were created -distinct, and yet, complimentary. And when the Holy Spirit of the true image of God, Jesus Himself, fills your body, you will be enabled to fulfill your specific and determined calling as a human being - male or female -and you will bring peace on earth and goodwill to all mankind. And that is what Christmas is all about Charlie Brown.
